Here are a few things going on for children this Winter/Spring at Mulberry:
Mulberry to Mercer Basketball Game
Join us as we take a group to the Mercer basketball game Saturday, January 21 to see the Bears play North Florida. Meet at the church at 3:30. Bring about $10 for a ticket and the cost of food, and RSVP to Pam by e-mail by Jan 18. Children under 1st grade must be accompanied by a parent: this makes a great family event.
Club 56
Each 2nd Sunday of the month, Club 56 will meet from 5 to 7:30 at the church. All 5th and 6th graders are invited to participate as we eat together, go off site for service projects or activities, and have devotions. This Sunday, we are having a scavenger hunt. Mark the following dates on your calendar for Club 56, and e-mail Pam if you can help drive or chaperone one of these events (Feb 12, Mar 11, Apr 15, May 13)
SMAK
Kids ages 4K through 6th grade are invited to SMAK, our Sunday night program that stands for supper, missions and kids. Our first 2012 SMAK will meet January 29. We meet the last Sunday of the month from 5 to 7 pm in the Children's Assembly Room. Kids bring their own sack supper, and then after we eat, we'll have age-appropriate activities planned for the kids. This winter and spring we are focusing on worship; our lessons will be about baptism, Lent, Communion, The Lord's Prayer, and the altar. Mark the following weeks to bring your kids down to Mulberry for a fun blessing! (Feb 26, Mar 25, Apr 29, May 20).
Family Sock Hop
Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, Feb 11 from 6 to 8 pm for an awesome event put on by the Children's and Youth Departments. We will host a sock hop, complete with Elvis, cherry-Cokes, a dance contest, diner snacks and more! Bring your Valentine and have some fun to raise money for missions. The cost will be $8 for a single, and $20 for a family. Tickets will be on sale during Wed night supper in February, or e-mail Pam or Thomas for more information.
