Special Worship Opportunities

SPECIAL MUSIC SUNDAY

December 3 | 11:00 am

The Ainsworth Choir Service of
Lessons and Carols

The Ainsworth Choir will join with singers all over the world who present a traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols as part of their Advent and Christmas observance. The congregation will enjoy beautiful renditions of familiar carols, as well as choral pieces that are new to their ears and sure to become favorites. The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols will serve as the entire Worship Service at 11:00 am on Sunday December 3. It will last approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.

Service Sunday Caroling

December 10 | 12:00 pm

After worship, join us for our Second Sunday Serve day - we will go caroling at several local nursing homes. This will be a joyful time sharing songs of the season with the community - you won't want to miss! Lunch will be provided before we head out for caroling.

CHILDREN'S NATIVITY

December 17 | 11:00 am

An annual tradition on the Fourth Sunday of Advent during our 11:00 am Sanctuary worship! Carols are sung by the congregation as the children present the nativity story.

The Longest Night Service

Wednesday, December 20 | 6:00 pm

This service is designed for when all is not merry and bright. While Christmas brings joy, it can also bring sorrow, difficult memories, and melancholy. And that’s okay! Join together in worship to give space to those emotions and to find encouragement through being a church family together.

Christmas Eve Services

Family-Friendly Service

11:00 am

This service is designed with children in mind! Join us for a potluck breakfast at 10, and a Christmas hymn sing-along at 11! Ms. Elisa will tell a Christmas story for the kids and we'll have a casual time of worship and fun to celebrate Christmas Eve!

Music of the Season

4:30 pm

A church favorite! Come early for our 5:00 pm service to hear sounds of the season played by our own Zachary Golden and other local talent.

Evening Traditional Service

5:00 pm

A joyous occasion featuring communion and singing by candlelight. Mark the highlight of the Advent season by joining together in worship!

Common Devotional for Advent

This Advent season, we as a church will read the daily devotional "Advent in Plain Sight: a Devotion through Ten Objects" by Jill J. Duffield. Our devotional will focus on ten ordinary, every day objects that appear in the Christmas story. Hear sermons keyed to the readings and objects, and join the weekly Noon Zoom to discuss the readings! Contact Ted Goshorn for the Zoom link.

Purchase the book and begin reading on Sunday, November 26! The book can be purchased at the Mulberry Market or online.
