Welcome to Mulberry - we're excited you are visiting us online!

We invite you to use this information to plan your visit in person with us. Everyone is welcome to participate with us in worship, at special events, and online! Our doors are open to all as we live out our mission to share the heart of God from the heart of downtown Macon by fostering healing for the broken places of life.

There's a first time for everything, and questions are a normal and natural part of any new experience. The information below might be helpful to know before your visit.

  • Our 11 am service can be reached by the front steps into the sanctuary on Mulberry Street, or by entering through the Atrium (no steps necessary) on the backside of the building, taking the elevator up one floor and following the signs to the handicapped accessible sanctuary. You can find a detailed map below.

Coffee & donuts are available in the atrium from 9:30 to 11!

  • Our 11 am worship service is approximately 60 minutes long.

  • Everyone is welcome to worship at Mulberry! Whatever your ethnicity, age, gender or sexual orientation, you are welcome here. If you have deep faith or searching faith, you are welcome. If you are struggling with sin or moving on to perfection, you are welcome here. We are a proudly United Methodist congregation, and we believe that Christ invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sins, and seek to be at peace with one another. You do not have to be a member of Mulberry - or any church - to worship and receive communion with us.

  • We offer Children's Church each Sunday during worship for a kid-friendly worship opportunity. This summer, we are offering a special programming for children during worship called Godly Play. Godly play is a tool through which your children can express their innermost curiosity and feelings about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the church and more. It is led from 11 am - 12 noon. Ushers can direct you to the classroom that they meet in before the service, and children are dismissed with a volunteer to Godly Play during the first hymn of the service. Kids in 4K through 5th grade are welcome to play and worship early at KidzPRAISE from 10:30 to 11 before the service as well.

  • The Mulberry parking lot has entrances on Mulberry Street and on New Street - from the parking lot, you can easily reach the Nursery entrance and the Atrium entrance on the backside of the church. There is also limited street parking that is free on Sundays.

  • You are welcome to come as you are! Worshippers in our 11 am Sanctuary worship do typically dress somewhat more formally - think Sunday best!

  • We have several Sunday School options for children, youth & adults at the 10:00 hour. Kids & Youth meet at 4:00 pm for Kids 4 Christ and Youth Group during the school year.
